Tantra: Sexual Energy, Sexuality and Spirituality,

For many, the term "sacred sexuality" conjures up images of tantric rituals and esoteric practices. However, my exploration of this realm has taken a different path, one that I find equally profound and fulfilling. While the word "tantra" resonates with some, it doesn't fully capture the essence of what I experience.  In addition, the Neo Tantra, colloquially used, does not offer full appreciation and respect for tantric traditions of sexuality and spirituality in the East. 

Instead of relying on specific religious traditions, I approach sexual energy as a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and connection. It's about cultivating a profound awareness of the body, desires, and the energy that flows through us all. It's about creating a safe and sacred space where one explore sensuality without judgment or shame.

The practice begins with introspection. I dedicate time to quiet the mind and tune into the inner world. This quietude allows one to listen to the whispers of the body. It's a process of peeling back layers of conditioning and societal expectations to rediscover the raw and authentic essence of sexuality.  Athenticity encompasses us embraces all the feelings and experiences that come with being human.  We love, we laugh, we cry, we roar- whatever rawness come out is a part of letting go and making room for living in the now rather than in the past.  The more we feel the higher our capacity for pleasure becomes. 

Once I'm grounded in my own presence, I invite connection. This connection can take many forms, from the sensual touch of the body to the intimate sharing of energy with a trusted partner. In these moments, strive to be fully present, to meet the partner with openness and acceptance, and to allow energies to flow freely between.

This isn't simply about physical pleasure; it's about a deeper exchange, a merging of souls that transcends the limitations of the physical realm. It's about experiencing oneness with another being, a profound connection that nourishes the soul and expands the sense of self.

The journey with sexual energy is not a linear one. It's a continuous exploration with its own unique ebbs and flows. There are moments of intense passion, moments of quiet intimacy, and moments of simply being present within my own body.  Sometimes it's wild! Each experience is a valuable stepping stone, a piece of the puzzle that helps me understand sexuality on a deeper level.

The beauty of this path lies in its freedom from rigid structures and definitions. It's about embracing the unique expression of your own sensuality, whatever form it may take. Whether you resonate with the term "sexual energy" or not, the essence remains the same: exploring and celebrating the profound power of intimacy, connection, and the spark within ourselves and others.
